Do girls use sex appeal to gain advancement in the workplace?
Mr Donald Trump actually agrees with me. Heard it from the man himself on national TV.
It’s a sad thing putting aside my childhood bickering war with girls and my constant tragic relationships with the opposite sex.
In order for us to have a bigger and full picture about my rationale, let’s go back in history.
During the early colonial times, there were many rich and successful businessmen that made huge monetary and financial contribution to Singapore. One thing they share in common, all of them are male. I can’t give you their names mainly because I have forgotten them and secondly my history is a fluke.
The point that I am driving across is that business is in the man’s blood.
It is not just the stereotype that society has about the role of the genders. Though I have to admit stereotypes sometimes do reflect the true nature of an individual. Let’s take for example, would you hire a male nanny?
Regardless of whether he is gay, bisexual or heterosexual, we would tend to be on the safe side of things and hire a female instead of a male irregardless of their capabilities.
In our minds we associate females with babies; the conception derives from mothers caring for babies. It goes hand in hand. It’s also a proven fact that females are more capable in taking care of a baby compared to a male due to the maternal instinct and the entire female hormones crap thing.
The same thing applies for business. Man tends to dominate in this field due to their in born capabilities.
The ability to think rationally, to be decisive, to make good judgements, to have control over their subordinates and etc. I am by no way saying that the females lack these qualities but what I am trying to say is that females would have more difficulty in expressing and demonstrating these qualities due to their in born trait.
Females are emotional beings. They cry and cry and cry and laugh and smile and frown and smile and frown. I mean their feelings are very volatile and sometimes they let their feelings get into the way and therefore this may affect their professional conduct as a businesswoman.
They would have more difficulty than a male due to their ups and downs and PMS and they also tend to be more difficult to handle.
To prove my point, search your heart and ask yourself honestly, name me 1 successful businesswoman millionaire? Still thinking…. That’s precisely my point. The rich female millionaire is extinct or a rare breed. Reverse that question and you would get a whole list of rich and successful businessman at an instance.
This brings me to my next point. Why than do something you are not good in?
Woman wants equality and the same status quo as a man. Oh if a man can do it, so can I? The females thus naively come to the dog eat dog world of business and to all their shock and horror, it wasn’t what they have expected. They have to start and rethink their strategies. They are not going to make it based on their capabilities. Thus why not use sex as a weapon?
If there is one thing I have to admit is that all males are horny bastards. No matter whether young and old, big or small, black or white, all guys are sex starved.
This is one of the many reasons why females say that the males think with their dicks. I have no qualms with that. So I have to say the woman do indeed have the upper hand. They play to the male’s weakness. Nice move ladies.
They come to business meetings with enhanced and rather over exposed cleavage with the same and common excuse to bend down and pick up something from the floor every now and than to the extreme pleasure of the guys, or how about wearing provocative clothes and hanging out at Pasir Ris Interchange every weekend to hook those sex starved NS guys to buying their insurance policies.
Don’t even get me started about the whole issue of sleeping with the boss for a pay raise thing?
This is a sad reality but guys lets face it, we are pretty stupid to be manipulated like this. I mean let’s talk about self respect and dignity. We do have a certain level of self control and willpower, let’s overcome the overbearing desire of lust and not let ourselves be controlled by sex anymore. Let’s break free. Why not I share with you the ten steps to sexual freedom for this new age?
Oh well, one of the many interesting facets of life that I will never understand…
