great dinner

Just came back from a fruitful criminal law discussion with Manlin. I really learnt a lot and we generated a lot of issues together. Team work can be a very effective tool especially if you are working against time, I am getting more excited about this project because I realised that it’s more interesting than I thought it was. Drug offences are not exactly a very exciting topic to talk about, but I guess that particular question about law reform regarding drug offences is a topic I am passionate about. Of course, I think that we should decriminalise drug offences especially so if the person is taking drugs for their own personal consumption. I think the law should be reformed to rehabilitate instead of punish people who can be “reformed”. Don’t even get me started on the drugs law in Singapore, “GUILTY until proven innocent”. I can’t understand the republic tough stance on drugs especially that when that Aussie guy was hanged, the simple reason give by our then PM was for the better good of society. How can that be of better good when the deceased wanted to import the drugs into Sydney? How can that be of better good when that person has a valid reason to support his family? How can that be of better good when the drugs law are so fucked up? Anyway Manless treated me to her speciality curry with egg today. It was very nice because it feels very authentic and Malaysian. I love her apartment, its in the middle of the city, great furnishing, nice gym and pool… it’s the dream apartment I every thought of. But the price is also something I will never every dream to fork out. The best things in life are never cheap. But that will be something I will work towards to. Owning an apartment in Central Sydney in 5 years time….

Im happy

I am so close to flying back to Singapore, I can hardly wait. The world is so beautiful and I love Sydney. SYDNEY I LOVE YOU!!!!! If not for my bloody criminal law assignment, I would have already been home and enjoying my roti prata and carrot cake. I spend half of today and FEDEX KINKO printing pages upon pages of criminal law materials for my assignment. I have a strange feeling that this assignment is not as easy as what I perceive it to be thanks to our very kind lecturer who fails to amaze me. Her ability to ‘keng’ is such an art, I have never seen a lecturer who can ‘keng’ and still maintain her composure and be all intellectual and all. VTS Corp called me back and asked me whether I could work during summer. Of course I will work during the summer, I mean this is a great opportunity for me to build contacts for my PR application; I will even clean the toilet if you ask me to. Desperate attempts is always a good way to get into your employers good books, but I will never give up my DREW AND NAPIER internship in January for anything in the world. I value it more than anything else and I am so excited because I can finally be the KOPI BOY I always dream of. Oh wow, I have just submitted my application for NYU Stern School of Business for the fun of it. You never know what will EVER happen mate…. Got to run
